Kiln-dried Alder is used most often for its high-density and strength. However, we also use Maple, Oak, Walnut and Russian Birch. The kiln-drying process pulls most of the moisture out of the wood, which keeps it from warping or twisting over time. Our upholstery frames are then sprung using the latest in technology, No-Sag sinuous wire springs and Clips that are embedded into the wooden frame.
